Parton
Parton, a female Human, held the rank of yeoman within the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the time of the Galactic Civil War. In the year 3 ABY, Yeoman Parton was on hand when the Alliance undertook a bold test: hiding their fleet inside the chromosphere of the star Arbran. This was achieved using a protective field generated by five Kerts-Bhrg field generators. Once the experiment was underway, Parton went with Rebel leader Leia Organa back to Haven Base on the nearby world of Arbra via shuttle. Following Organa's instructions, Parton tried to contact the Rebel freighter Millennium Falcon to summon [Luke Skywalker](/article/luke_skywalker/legends], Organa's reliable friend, when an incident knocked out the crew of the primary Kerts-Bhrg generator. Although Skywalker was unreachable, catastrophe was avoided regardless.
Behind the scenes
Star Wars 58, which featured Parton, was penned by David Michelinie, with illustrations by Walter Simonson, and it was published in 1982. Although the character is only called "Yeoman" in the spoken lines, her name is visible on a label affixed to the front of her attire.
