Star Wars 58: Sundown! constitutes the fifty-eighth installment of the Marvel Star Wars comic book series.
Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca take off from the surface of the world Arbra aboard the Millennium Falcon. They engage hyperspace as they travel to meet a shady dealer named Orion Ferret at the space station called Bazarre.
In the meantime, Princess Leia rejoins the Rebel forces positioned above Arbra. She initiates a daring plan to hide the fleet's whereabouts from the watchful eyes of Imperial scouting parties. Utilizing a piece of tech referred to as a Kerts-Bhrg generator, the Rebels fashion a massive, pyramid-shaped energy field that encompasses the entire fleet. They reposition the ships within the aura of Arbra's sun, confident that the field generator will offer protection against the sun's lethal ultraviolet radiation.
Princess Leia boards a transport ship to return to the surface of the planet. Shortly thereafter, she discovers a malfunction in the Kerts-Bhrg generators. An absorption circuit inside the control generator's cone short circuits, causing the maintenance bay to fill with harmful fumes. All maintenance staff are rendered unconscious by the chemicals. The only entities unaffected are the droids, C-3PO and R2-D2. To rescue the fleet, the droids perform a spacewalk between the control generator and a nearby star cruiser. They connect a conduit cable to the Kerts-Bhrg generator and stabilize the fluctuating power levels. After the close call, C-3PO gets in touch with Princess Leia and briefs her on the situation.
At the same time, the Millennium Falcon exits lightspeed and gets to the Bazarre space station.
