Bazarre, a prominent black market and shadowport, was a sprawling space station during the time of the Imperial Era. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, Bazarre was under the ownership of gunrunner Orion Ferret and situated in the Cademimu sector of the Outer Rim's. Ferret cultivated an environment where nearly anything, including slaves, could be traded on the station. In 3 ABY, aboard Bazarre, Ferret attempted to double-cross and kill Rebel leaders Lando Calrissian and Luke Skywalker in a starfighter transaction, but his scheme was uncovered and thwarted.
Recognizable by its distinctive gold exterior, Bazarre was a massive space station renowned as a central hub where virtually anything was available for purchase or trade, drawing a large influx of visitors from diverse species. Transactions deemed illegal across much of the galaxy were openly conducted on Bazarre. Slave auctions, for instance, were held publicly on the trading floor, and at least one spice vendor operated openly on the station. However, the majority of commerce on Bazarre was legitimate, attracting the galaxy's wealthy elite. The station hosted grand Trade Shows, heavily attended by individuals from all corners of the galaxy, including representatives from the reclusive S'kytri, who traded trinkets and presented dramatic reenactments of their Initiation Hunts.
Bazarre was particularly famous for its array of advanced explosives, notably including Ugnaught-produced talking bombs. The station's interior spaces were richly decorated, with Orion Ferret's personal apartments being especially opulent. Within his quarters on Bazarre, Ferret even maintained a private prison, utilizing a spritzer unit to capture his adversaries. Ferret prioritized security, employing a substantial guard force known for their occasional aggression towards unfamiliar visitors.

Bazarre, the black market and shadowport space station, existed for centuries leading up to the Galactic Civil War, its origins shrouded in mystery. While it had previously operated from various locations, by the time of the Imperial Period, it had established itself in the Mosu system, situated on the edge of the Cademimu sector within the Outer Rim's. At that point, Bazarre was under the control of Human Orion Ferret, a well-known gunrunner distrusted by many in the underworld. Ferret managed Bazarre with the assistance of P'Lor, a cyborg aide who used a computer implant to monitor incoming communications. During the height of the war, Rebel leaders Lando Calrissian and Luke Skywalker visited Bazarre to finalize a deal with Ferret involving four TIE fighters.
Ferret intended to deceive Calrissian and Skywalker, killing them and seizing the valuable goods, but Chewbacca, their partner, discovered his scheme. The enraged Wookiee pursued Ferret through the corridors of Bazarre and apprehended him. However, Skywalker and Calrissian, unharmed and with their cargo secured, persuaded Chewbacca to spare Ferret's life. During this period, Bazarre was the location of numerous other significant transactions, including the sale of the cargo hauler and former Rebel medical transport Nova Whisper by Rodian arms dealer Lernik De'Yago to a starship dealer operating on the station.
Bazarre made its debut in Star Wars 58, authored by David Michelinie, illustrated by Walter Simonson, and published in 1982. It subsequently served as the primary setting for the following issue of the original Marvel Star Wars comic book series.
