Patrick Kennedy, a British actor, was born on August 26, 1977. In the 2019 movie Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, he takes on the role of a First Order officer. He is well-known for his leading performance in ITV's Murder on the Home Front, his portrayal of Sampson in ITV's Downton Abbey, and for recurring roles in Boardwalk Empire, Hulu's The First, and the BBC's Mrs Wilson. Kennedy in The Rise of Skywalker Within The Rise of Skywalker, Kennedy is seen as a member of the First Order Supreme Council. He is present during the meeting where Kylo Ren displays the head of Boolio and announces the presence of a spy inside the First Order. His character is visible in just one shot, specifically the wide shot where Kylo Ren declares, "We have a spy in our ranks, who just sent a message to the Resistance." A continuity error arises from his appearance in this scene. For the rest of the scene, the chair he occupies (situated between a grey-haired man, played by Mark Richard Durden-Smith, and General Quinn) is taken by Allegiant General Pryde. This is most noticeable when Quinn speaks of "These allies on Exegol...".
