The Peace Faction represented a political group inside the Separatist Senate of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, with the goal of ceasing hostilities. At the Separatist Senate Building, located on the planet Raxus Secundus, Senator Mina Bonteri of the Japrael sector served as the faction's leader.
A number of its members sought to conclude the conflict based on ethical considerations, while certain individuals held philosophical objections to the wartime powers bestowed upon Count Dooku, the Confederacy's Head of State, arguing that these powers rendered the Confederacy indistinguishable from the Galactic Republic. Still others voiced opposition to the Confederacy's wartime levies or expressed apprehension regarding the risks the war posed to interstellar trade.
The initial depiction of the Peace Faction occurred in "Heroes on Both Sides," a Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode from 2010. Its formal designation originated in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 addition to the Star Wars role-playing game line by Fantasy Flight Games.
