Pi (Class-D cargo container)

Pi functioned as a Class-D cargo container belonging to the Rebel Alliance. The Galactic Empire's starfleet once discovered it was a Rebel arms storage unit, leading to an assault by the IPV-1 System Patrol Craft named Scythis along with the Assault Gunboat known as Mu 1. Pi's defense consisted of a small collection of Type 1 mines, each equipped with a laser cannon. After the gunboat eliminated the mines and initiated an inspection of Pi, the container deployed the Rebel Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport called Weet. However, Mu 1 incapacitated the transport, which allowed the Scythis to apprehend the Rebels on board. Subsequently, the gunboat destroyed Pi.

This engagement was later recreated within an Imperial gunboat pilot flight simulator. Shortly following the Battle of Yavin, Maarek Stele, a Human, was among the pilot recruits.
