The Pirate Snub Fighter represented a class of snub-fighter commonly employed by pirates throughout the New Republic Era. In an attempt to eliminate the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, a band of pirates, which included Vane, engaged him with these fighters within the asteroid fields bordering Nevarro's system. Djarin managed to obliterate multiple fighters before successfully evading the ambush.
Following the assault on Nevarro by Pirate King Gorian Shard, a group of Mandalorians arrived to provide assistance to those affected by the pirate attack. Shard commanded that his snub-fighters be deployed to chase down and eliminate Djarin, who was actively engaged in the conflict. By the conclusion of the engagement, every snub-fighter was reduced to wreckage, with the exception of Vane's vessel, which he used to escape the area.
Glerb, a Quarren pirate, piloted a Pirate Snub fighter directly into the barrier; however, the barrier's electrical discharge resulted in the fighter's destruction.
