Plibene Rock

Plibene Rock, a rock formation, existed in the northeastern area of the Xelric Draw, situated to the north of the Mos Espa settlement. This was within the small habitable zone located in the northern hemisphere of Tatooine, a desert planet. Initial prospectors who explored this world thought that it held deposits of the uncommon mineral bene.

Behind the scenes

Within current Star Wars canon, the reference to Plibene Rock appeared in the 2016 reference book titled Star Wars: Complete Locations. The caption that mentioned Plibene Rock was a reprint from the location's initial appearance in the Star Wars Legends continuity. It was originally created for the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, authored by Kristin Lund and featuring illustrations from Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen.
