Raleigh, a technician of the human species, was stationed on Relay Post Epsilon One as a member of the Galactic Republic. His oversight of the space station was compromised when he neglected to turn on the Targes scanner, a crucial piece of equipment designed to detect incoming starships emerging from hyperspace. After the scanner was turned back on, the station suffered an attack from Lourna Dee, the starship commanded by Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee.
