Rasha Bex

Rasha Bex, during the time of the Galactic Civil War, served as an intelligence operative for the Galactic Empire. She was a Human female characterized by her long brown hair and brown eyes.

Biography

Rasha before spending the night with BoShek.

Prior to her discovery, she successfully infiltrated six Rebel cells under the command of Garm Bel Iblis on Stoga. She employed the services of smuggler BoShek to ensure her safe departure from Karn and Lhira, the Rebel leaders, leading him to believe she was simply another individual disillusioned with the Rebellion's radicalism.

Upon reaching safety with BoShek's assistance, Bex orchestrated his arrest by Imperial officers after he declined her offer of employment within the Empire, despite developing feelings for him during their shared night and a passionate kiss exchanged moments earlier. Several months later, she extended her support to the Ahakistan rebels, who aimed to sabotage an Imperial computer hub located at Pyramid One, hoping that her new allies could facilitate her reunion with the incarcerated BoShek. She encountered the rebels at the Daystar Casino, where the owner had assembled a diverse group he represented as members of the Rebel Alliance.

Initially, the Rebel cell members viewed her presence with suspicion but ultimately welcomed her at the urging of Sardoth, who also informed Tarson of her search for BoShek. During the meeting, Sardoth revealed to the cell members that the Empire had been utilizing Ahakista as a base for the Hub, a supercomputer housed within the pyramid at the city's core. The Hub held significant importance for the Empire, as its function was to coordinate the extensive Imperial Navy.

The plan to infiltrate the Hub involved utilizing an ancient network of tunnels beneath the pyramid where the Hub was situated. However, access to these tunnels was obstructed by a blast door reinforced by a protective energy field and guarded by Stormtroopers. Due to her familiarity with the building's layout, Bex was tasked with deactivating the energy field. The only method to achieve this was by destroying its power source, located at the grid's power control station on the tenth floor. Sardoth then revealed the reason for contacting Dunlan: he sought Dunlan's group of rebels to destroy the pyramid's power control station, enabling the off-worlders to infiltrate and destroy the Hub itself.

However, this strategy ignited discord among the Rebel cell members, particularly Dunlan, who contended that a direct assault on the pyramid would be suicidal, resulting in substantial casualties. Incensed, Dunlan and other members of the local Ahakistan resistance departed from the meeting. Amidst the turmoil, Rasha remarked that without Dunlan's attack on the power station, the plan would collapse. Discouraged, Bex attempted to withdraw from the plot but was intercepted by Tarson, who mandated that she find a means to shut down the power generator or face never seeing Boshek again. He then reiterated their unwavering commitment to seizing the Hub, regardless of Dunlan's withdrawal.

Upon arriving at the power control station on the tenth floor of Pyramid One, Captain Bex was confronted by an inquisitive Captain Tregor, who expressed suspicion regarding her presence in a high-security zone. Rasha asserted that she was there to evaluate his security measures as part of a new security initiative implemented by Darth Vader. She emphasized that any non-compliance would be reported. As Bex approached the power generator controls, she sought a way to disable them but was cornered by Tregor.

Fueled by anger and noting her suspicious behavior, Tregor attempted to expose her. With her deception revealed, Bex pushed away his hands and kicked him in the lips. Capitalizing on his greater size, Tregor swiftly regained control and wrestled her to the floor. He was on the verge of killing her when he was caught in an explosion that incapacitated him. Fleeing from Vader's troops, a wounded Dunlan had launched a surface-to-air missile at the power generator. With the power generator destroyed and Tregor incapacitated, a shocked Bex made her way out of the station.
