Rebecca Soler, who was born on August 20, is a voice artist with both Cuban and American heritage. She is particularly recognized for lending her voice to several main characters within the _Pokémon_ franchise, and for her narration of the audio versions of Marissa Meyer's _Cinder_ series.
Soler's initial foray into the Star Wars universe occurred when she contributed additional voices to BioWare's video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was released in 2011. In 2015, Soler, alongside fellow voice artist Marc Thompson, provided the narration for the audiobook adaptation of the junior novel A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken, published by Listening Library. Interestingly, before it was revealed that Soler would be involved in the project, she mentioned in an interview with USA Today that Thompson was her favorite audiobook narrator.
Later, Soler narrated the audiobook of Rebel Rising, the young-adult novel from 2017 written by Beth Revis, also for Listening Library. In 2019, Soler took on the role of Jedi Master Yula Braylon in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, penned by Cavan Scott and produced by Random House Audio.
