Back cover
Kyle Katarn, a secret agent for the Rebellion, is prepared to go to any lengths to seek vengeance for the premature death of his father, which was caused by the Empire. When 8t88 threatens Kyle in a bar located on Nar Shaddaa, he pursues the droid and successfully obtains a mysterious disk. This disk has the potential to guide him toward uncovering the reasons behind his father's murder. Kyle soon discovers that the disk holds information pertaining to a map leading to the Valley of the Jedi, a location that his father had inadvertently discovered and subsequently kept a secret. Now, it becomes a race against time between Kyle and the Empire to determine who will be the first to acquire the map—and ultimately reach the Valley.
Based upon the widely recognized Star Wars: DARK FORCES and Star Wars: JEDI KNIGHT interactive games, Rebel Agent constitutes the second part of a trilogy authored by the acclaimed writer William C. Dietz (The Final Battle) and features illustrations by the award-winning artist Ezra Tucker (known for the Adventures of Little Nettie Windship children's book series).
Inside flap
Following the discovery of the Valley of the Jedi by Kyle's father, Morgan Katarn, Morgan shares a description of this location with a Jedi named Rahn. Subsequently, Rahn falls into the clutches of Jerec, a Dark Jedi. Jerec extracts information from Rahn's mind that ultimately leads back to the Katarn farm. Simultaneously, the droid 8t88 approaches Kyle with a proposition related to a mysterious disk, which leads to a pursuit. Kyle manages to secure the disk and gains knowledge of his father's discovery, but he arrives too late to safeguard the map. Or does he? The answer is connected to 8t88.
This entirely new adventure trilogy offers background details and incorporates elements from the LucasArts DARK FORCES and JEDI KNIGHT interactive games. Rebel Agent acts as a sequel to Soldier for the Empire and sets the stage for Jedi Knight.
Trade paperback

This story is written by William C. Dietz, complemented by 25 painted illustrations created by the artist Ezra Tucker.
