Back cover

Having just returned from his secret mission to pinpoint the Valley of the Jedi's location, Kyle Katarn, both a Rebel operative and a Jedi initiate, is aware that the malevolent Jerec, a dark Jedi aiming for the Imperial throne, also knows the Valley's whereabouts. Upon his return to the Alliance, Kyle, with Luke Skywalker's backing, proposes a mission to secure the Valley and thwart the impending Imperial invasion, finally embracing his destiny as a Jedi.

Drawing inspiration from the widely enjoyed Star Wars: DARK FORCES and Star Wars: JEDI KNIGHT interactive games, Jedi Knight marks the third installment in a trilogy crafted by the acclaimed author William C. Dietz (Steelheart) and visually enhanced by the award-winning Star Wars cover artist Dave Dorman.

Inside flap

Jerec, the dark Jedi, persists in his quest for the fabled Valley of the Jedi, dispatching his Imperial forces to invade the secluded planet harboring it. However, Kyle Katarn, returning with Jan Ors and Luke Skywalker from their covert operation, also possesses knowledge of the Valley's location. Kyle suggests a clandestine mission with Jan to infiltrate the planet and independently halt the Empire, leading him to his most perilous and crucial undertaking yet.

This entirely new adventure trilogy enriches the narrative and incorporates aspects from the LucasArts DARK FORCES and JEDI KNIGHT interactive games. Jedi Knight serves as the concluding piece to the trilogy that began with Soldier for the Empire and continued with Rebel Agent.

Trade paperback

Now presented as a trade paperback, this graphic-story album—a novella in prose accompanied by twenty-five full-page painted illustrations—brings to a close the expansive trilogy rooted in characters and occurrences introduced within the well-received Dark Forces interactive games. Jedi Knight recounts the exploits of Kyle Katarn, a Rebel agent, as he endeavors to prevent Jerec, an Imperial dark Jedi aiming to exploit the Valley's immense power for his personal ambitions, from seizing the legendary Valley of the Jedi.

Kyle Katarn, both a Rebel operative and a Jedi in training, has successfully located the mythical Valley of the Jedi. However, Jerec, a dark Jedi intent on usurping the Emperor, commands an Imperial invasion targeting the planet where the Valley lies concealed.

Supported by Luke Skywalker, Kyle offers his services to infiltrate the planet covertly and obstruct the Empire's efforts to discover the Valley, embarking on his most hazardous and significant mission to date.

This mission offers Kyle the long-awaited opportunity to realize his potential as a Jedi.
