Red Sword Flight was a squadron of Jedi pilots who flew StealthX starfighters, and was commanded by Grand Master of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker. The flight was comprised of six Jedi, specifically three Masters working in tandem with three Knights.
During the events of the Second Galactic Civil War, they were following the trail of the Anakin Solo by utilizing a tracking beacon that had been surreptitiously placed on Darth Caedus's cape. After discovering that Caedus was not actually aboard the Anakin Solo, but was instead located in a cloaked starfighter that was hovering close by, they altered their strategy, with Skywalker personally pursuing Caedus.
As Skywalker was preparing to deliver the final, fatal blow, he unexpectedly detected the presence of Allana's—the daughter of Caedus and the Hapan Queen Mother Tenel Ka Djo—within Caedus's vessel. Determining that the killing of Caedus, which would also result in the death of an innocent child, was unacceptable, Skywalker gave the order to withdraw as the Anakin Solo and a group of escorting starfighters arrived to provide assistance to Caedus.
