Rescue of Qui-Gon Jinn

Around the time of 41 BBY, on the planet of Kashyyyk, Obi-Wan Kenobi and allied Wookiee warriors saved Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, along with other Wookiees. These Jedi and Wookiees had been captured previously by Trandoshan hunters leading up to Life Day, which is a Wookiee holiday.

Prelude

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, accompanied by his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, found themselves on the planet Kashyyyk circa 41 BBY to study Wookiee customs. Before the Life Day festivities, they, along with several other Wookiees, fell captive to Trandoshan hunters.

The rescue

Kenobi, working alongside the Wookiee leader Brennonn, formulated a strategy to liberate the captured Jedi and Wookiees. Kenobi deceived Korgan, the Trandoshan leader, making him believe he was surrendering. While Korgan's attention was diverted, Kenobi employed the Force to unlock Jinn's confinement. Jinn then retrieved his lightsaber from Kenobi and joined the fight. Despite this, Korgan remained confident, pointing out the Trandoshans' numerical advantage over the two Jedi. Suddenly, Wookiee war cries echoed from the forest, as armed Wookiees, led by Brennonn, emerged.

Aftermath

Korgan conceded defeat and released the prisoners. The Jedi and Wookiees subsequently returned to the village to commence the Life Day celebrations.
