Rhen Var Harbor
The Rhen Var Harbor, an age-old site situated on the planet of Rhen Var, functioned well before the planet experienced its cataclysmic ice-age. It was among the locations where the Battle of Rhen Var unfolded during the era of the Clone Wars.
The objective for the forces of the Galactic Republic was to seize control of the Separatist sensor installation positioned within the harbor. The Republic successfully gained entry to the harbor utilizing a network of icy passageways, along with deploying AT-TEs.
The Rhen Var Harbor was a substantial fortress, featuring both a venerable lighthouse and a compact citadel. The remnants of the Rhen Var Citadel were located to the fortress's west.
Behind the scenes
The Rhen Var Harbor is featured as a playable environment in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Battlefront. Within the Historical Campaign, the engagement on this map is presented as a mission for the Galactic Republic. However, as stated by Leland Chee, the custodian of Lucasfilm's Holocron continuity database, the game's narrative holds secondary continuity status. This map was also made accessible in the game's sequel through an Xbox Live update.
