Ridala served as a cargo freighter, helmed by an unaffiliated captain, throughout the war against Zakuul. Subsequently, Eternal Empress Vaylin and SCORPIO seized control of it, employing it as a means to infiltrate the Gravestone. The captain of Ridala was murdered, and an assault by the Eternal Fleet was faked. As the Gravestone, navigated by Koth Vortena, appeared to engage the Fleet, the freighter transmitted a plea for assistance, with SCORPIO mimicking the captain's voice. Vortena permitted Ridala to dock within the Gravestone's hangar for maintenance purposes. From this location, SCORPIO, Vaylin, and a contingent of Knights of Zakuul and Horizon Guard then subdued Koth's personnel and assumed command of the ship. The Gravestone, still housing Ridala, subsequently journeyed to the Iokath system, where SCORPIO utilized it to reach the surface of Iokath. Afterward, she remotely directed the shuttle into the colossal energy shield encircling the planet, showcasing its vulnerability to members of the Alliance.
