The Rodian Salvager's Cartel, active during the Imperial Era, was a criminal organization composed of Rodian scavengers. Based on the junk world of Raxus Prime, they were led by Drexl Roosh. Roosh established a substantial salvage operation on the debris-strewn planet, using his underlings to extract scrap and other valuable materials for off-world sale. These scavengers meticulously dismantled any discarded items they discovered on the planet's surface, searching for useful metal fragments or working mechanical components. Drexl displayed a callous indifference towards the well-being of his gang members, and even less concern for those who dared to interfere with his illicit activities.
The Rodian Salvage Cartel established its main hub for salvage operations on Raxus Prime, eventually gaining control over significant portions of the planet's surface. At one point, they faced an attack from the deranged Jedi Master Kazdan Paratus's droid forces, which included Scrap Guardians, colossal junk behemoths, and Scrap Scavengers. After initially sustaining substantial losses, the cartel regrouped and deployed their Heavy Defenders and Rodian Rippers to counter the droid army.
When Galen Marek arrived on the planet, Heavy Defenders and Rodian Rippers were dispatched on skiffs to intercept him. Marek eliminated them along with the scavengers positioned inside the ruined hyperdrive core. Scavengers were also engaged in combat with Paratus' droid army near a wrecked blockade runner until Marek intervened, defeating both sides. Subsequently, Marek advanced towards the scavenger's base, where he destroyed the shield generator and battled his way through them into the junk chasm, entering the territory of Kazdan Paratus, his target, who he ultimately killed.
The death of Paratus provided the scavengers with a temporary reprieve, but the Galactic Empire soon arrived on the planet to claim it for themselves. The Empire and the cartel then engaged in skirmishes for control of the planet until Galen Marek returned and defeated both factions, effectively eliminating the criminal scavengers and killing Roosh.
- Rodian Heavy Defenders were Rodians of considerable size who used Z0-16 rotary cannons against any obstacles encountered during their salvage operations on Raxus Prime.
- Rodian Rippers were Rodians of a leaner build compared to the Heavy Defenders, equipped with stun gloves featuring knives along the fingers. These gloves also incorporated an energy pad on the palms, enabling them to draw junk towards themselves or launch it as a projectile at potential adversaries.
