"Rogue One" is a musical theme created by Michael Giacchino. It was written for the 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film, which is part of the anthology series. This theme functions as the leitmotif for the squad of the same name. You can find this track on the film's soundtrack, where it is cleverly titled "Takes One to Rogue One". A significant portion of this theme consists of variations on the trap motif that John Williams originally composed for the 1983 Return of the Jedi film from the original trilogy. The figure of the trap motif is prominently featured as the Battle of Scarif approaches.
The theme reappears in scenes featuring future Rogue One members Cassian Jeron Andor and K-2SO within the LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars episode titled "The Good Stuff!," which premiered on October 31, 2018, and was scored by Michael Kramer. Additionally, this very track was utilized to introduce Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk (the actors behind Cassian Andor and K-2SO, respectively) at the D23 Expo in 2019. The pair were at the expo to discuss the then-upcoming television series, Andor.
