Ronald Howard, who was born on March 1, 1954, works in the film and television industry as a director, producer, writer, and also as an actor. Following the dismissal of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller in 2017, Howard was selected to take over the director's chair for Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Lucas extended an offer to Howard to direct Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but Howard declined, considering the proposition to be overly challenging.
He penned the foreword for The Cinema of George Lucas back in 2005.
Howard has also participated on StarWars.com by returning to his role as the narrator from Arrested Development, creating a parody video styled after the television program.
