Rorak 4

Rorak 4, situated in the Hutt Space region of the galaxy, was an industrial planet. It was positioned along the hyperlanes known as the Gamor Run and Shag Pabol. Serving as the largest slave market in Hutt Space, Rorak 4 was orbited by the Rorak 5 space station.

Description

Within the Rorak system, and inside the Hutt Space region of the galaxy, was the industrial world Rorak 4. It was located on the hyperlane called the Shag Pabol, which provided a connection to the planets Nal Hutta and Diyu. The hyperspace route called the Gamor Run connected Rorak 4 to Circumtore. Functioning as the biggest slave trading center in Hutt Space, Rorak 4 was orbited by the Rorak 5 space station.

History

As early as 11,000 BBY, the Hutt species controlled the territory where the Rorak system was located. By 8000 BBY, the space surrounding the planet was considered well-explored. Around 25 ABY, the average population in the region of space containing Rorak 4 was between 10 million and 500 million. Sometime between 26 ABY and 27 ABY, the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong attacked the Rorak system during their conquest of the galaxy, and they maintained control of the star system until at least 27 ABY.

Behind the scenes

The Essential Atlas, a reference book by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace that was released on August 18, 2009, was the first time Rorak 4 was mentioned, placing the planet in grid square S-12.
