Rorr'hn of Drgi

Rorr'hn of Drgi, a Jedi Knight who lived sometime after the Battle of Yavin, shared a name with the Drgi system located within the Tokamac sector of the Expansion Region. This individual was also known to pilot an X-wing starfighter, a type of starfighter favored by the Rebel Alliance and the organizations that followed it.

Rorr'hn of Drgi, a Force-sensitive alien, possessed distinct physical characteristics. Their skin was a combination of dark brown and tan hues. They had arms and legs that ended in sharp claws. Unusually, a large beak-like structure dominated their face beneath their gray eyes, and they also sported twin horns on top of their head. Rorr'hn of Drgi was typically seen wearing a yellow flight suit adorned with the Alliance Starbird symbol. They were armed with a lightsaber that emitted a yellow blade and piloted an X-wing starfighter.

Behind the scenes

Tom Whalen conceived of Rorr'hn of Drgi as part of the "Design An Alien" contest featured in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine. The competition, which began in the magazine's third issue in April of 1995, invited readers to invent entirely new alien species inspired by the original trilogy of Star Wars films. Whalen, then twenty-one years old, submitted their design for Rorr'hn of Drgi, which was later published in the "Design An Alien" section's "honorable mentions" for those "16 and up" in the seventh issue in April 1996. Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm responsible for maintaining the Holocron continuity database, has confirmed that content published from the "Design An Alien" competition is considered canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.
