Corellian Ryshcate

A specific kind of baked treat called Corellian Ryshcate came from the planet of Corellia, and it was a customary food served during celebrations. Corellians who had moved away from their home planet frequently enjoyed it. Both Artiodacs and humans could eat these pastries, which were crafted using layers of pastry, Corellian whiskey, and nuts. Following the Battle of Takodana, which occurred in 34 ABY, Strono Tuggs, a chef, began offering Corellian Ryshcate at his mobile restaurant known as Tuggs' Grub. This took place while he was stationed at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo on Batuu, a planet located in the Outer Rim.

Behind the scenes

The Star Wars canon saw the introduction of Corellian Ryshcate in the 2019 cookbook titled Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, which was written collaboratively by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. Ryshcate originating from Corellia was initially part of the Star Wars Legends timeline, specifically in Michael A. Stackpole's 1996 book X-Wing: Rogue Squadron. The real-world, out-of-universe components consist of puff pastry, walnuts, golden raisins, pistachios, brown sugar, butter, honey, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, flour, salt, either whiskey or brandy, and heavy cream used for glazing.
