S-2 security droid

The S-2 security droid was a derivative of the DZ-70 fugitive tracker droid and functioned as a security droid during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Leading up to the Battle of Yavin, both S-1 and S-2 security droids were deployed by the Corellian Security Force to monitor the subterranean maintenance tunnels situated beneath Coronet City, with a particular focus on the lower maintenance areas. Encounters and skirmishes between the Meatlump gang, known for their anti-technology beliefs, and S-1 and S-2 security droids occasionally occurred, as the gang had established their secret hideout in the abandoned maintenance tunnels just above the lower maintenance areas.

Behind the scenes

The S-2 security droid made its debut appearance in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003 that was a video game. This game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment, published by LucasArts, and ultimately shut down on December 15, 2011. The inclusion of the S-2 security droid in the game was part of the "Meatlumps Theme Park" content, which was introduced through "Chapter 10: The Search for the Meatlump King," which was released on June 19, 2008.
