The Sabaoth starfighter, a type of starfighter, was utilized by Captain Cavik Toth's Sabaoth Squadron in the years preceding the Clone Wars. Each craft was armed with four laser cannons and required a single pilot for operation. Notably, Sabaoth starfighters played a significant role during the Occupation of Karthakk.
The design of the Sabaoth starfighter incorporated a compact cockpit with two wings that sloped downwards and forwards. Its aesthetic was inspired by a predatory bird in attack mode. The fighter was equipped with twin laser cannons on each wingtip, as well as on either side of the cockpit's underside, providing a broad firing range.
The Sabaoth starfighters were designed for a single pilot and could accommodate 50 kg of cargo and consumables sufficient for one week.
Their shielding was weak, and their design emphasized swarm tactics, similar to TIE fighters. Consequently, once the shields were breached, a single hit could destroy the entire starfighter. These fighters were deployed from Sabaoth destroyers and often fought alongside the heavily armed Sabaoth Defender fighters.
Count Dooku entered into an agreement with Captain Cavik Toth, which led to Toth's starfighters being used to reinforce the defensive capabilities of the Separatist forces.
Nym's pirate organization encountered these formidable starfighters during conflicts with Captain Toth's squadron on Nod Kartha and above the Karthakk system before the Clone Wars. Jedi Master Adi Gallia and her Padawan, Siri Tachi, also faced these agile fighters above Geonosis, as they worked to prevent Toth's hex-equipped fleet from launching an assault on the Grand Army of the Republic.
Initially, a Sabaoth fighter was planned for inclusion in The Clone Wars episode titled Dooku Captured, but its appearance was removed during the early stages of production.
