The Sadow'een were a clandestine group of assassins who served the Sith Lord known as Naga Sadow.
During the era of the Sith Empire, their duty was to eliminate their master's adversaries. They eventually built a temple within the Glacial Fissure region located on Hoth. The Sadow'een are responsible for the death of Sadow's rival, Horak-mul, at the onset of the Great Hyperspace War, despite the fact that his spirit was able to live on. After completing their assignment, the assassins were interred within the temple.
By the time of the Cold War, the Sadow'een Temple had deteriorated into ruins, with only the catacombs remaining mostly intact. However, Naga Sadow's ancient battle droids continued to maintain their patrols. The Sith members of the Imperial Reclamation Service did not seriously consider Hoth as a possible location for the temple until Darth Zash's apprentice, Kallig, arrived on the icy planet. The Sith Inquisitor, accompanied by Lieutenant Talos Drellik of the Reclamation Service, visited the temple while searching for Horak-mul's sarcophagus. The Sith Lord, long since deceased, made contact with them and offered his power to the Inquisitor, with the condition that the Inquisitor desecrate the tomb of the Sadow'een to avenge the Sith Lord's demise.
