Sand Crawler 345

Sand Crawler 345 functioned as a sandcrawler operated by the Jawa during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Ultimately, it met its end due to destruction inflicted by Tusken Raiders.

History

During the year 1 ABY, the Jawa inhabitants of Sand Crawler 345 came into possession of a shipment originating from Tansarii Point Station and arriving on Tatooine. The sandcrawler made a stop at Tosche Station, situated near Anchorhead, to conduct transactions with Janus, the warehouse manager. Subsequently, it paid a visit to Zef Ando at the Lars homestead. After departing the farm, Sand Crawler 345 became the target of a Tusken Raider assault in the Western Dune Sea, leading to its complete annihilation. However, some Jawas and the protocol droid FA-2PO were able to survive, seeking safety in the surrounding area. Given that the cargo from Tansarii Point Station piqued the interest of both Imperial Commander Barrezz and Rebel Captain Bastra, spacers were actively searching for the sandcrawler at the time of the attack. FA-2PO managed to send out an emergency signal, which was received by the spacers, prompting them to rush to the aid of the Sand Crawler 345 survivors. The spacers engaged the Tusken Raiders in combat and successfully rescued the Jawas. Later, the spacers retrieved Jawa encryption keys from the Tusken Raiders, enabling them to finally gain access to the sandcrawler's database.
