Sanver, an Imperial senator of the Barabel species, provided refuge to three fleeing Jedi within his personal residence during the period known as the Great Jedi Purge. However, in 17 BBY, this act of concealment was uncovered, resulting in the execution of both Sanver and the three Jedi at the hands of the Inquisitorius.

Sanver served as a Barabel senator representing his people in the Imperial Senate of the Galactic Empire. Given that Barabel culture had a long-standing respect for the Jedi Order, during the Great Jedi Purge initiated by the Empire, the senator secretly sheltered three Jedi Padawans who had managed to survive the infamous Order 66, hiding them within his own living space. When this act of treason was discovered in 17 BBY, those three fugitives had become Jedi Knights. Nevertheless, Sanver, along with all three Jedi, were quickly executed by the Empire's Inquisitorius, a specialized group tasked with Jedi-hunters.
The Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine exploited this event to separate his ongoing anti-Jedi activities from the Empire's political structures, granting the Inquisitorius the authority to operate freely across the galaxy with only internal authorization. Furthermore, Sanver's involvement amplified doubts regarding the loyalty of non-humans within the Empire. Information pertaining to Sanver was archived in "The Inquisitorius" section of the Imperial Archives, and the historian Beaumont Kin referenced it when mentioning Sanver in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which he completed in 35 ABY.
Sanver's character was mentioned in the 2024 reference publication, Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, authored by Dr. Chris Kempshall.
