Sartori held the position of inspector within the Coruscant Security Force throughout the Galactic Republic era. However, Sartori was a dishonest individual, as he was employed by the crime lord named Cenevax. When Cenevax orchestrated the sabotage of Ramil – who had rejected the terms of an agreement with the criminal – at the forty-eighth annual Dragonfire Air Rally, Inspector Sartori took measures to conceal the illicit activity. The Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Dooku were not fooled by Sartori's actions, and they tracked him to the hideout of Cenevax. As punishment for this shortcoming, Cenevax struck Sartori several times with a weighty crate, causing serious harm to the inspector.
