Sebolto was a male Dug hailing from the world of Malastare, classified under gender definitions. By the time of the Battle of Naboo, Sebolto had risen to prominence as a powerful crime lord, with his base of operations located on Malastare; he was also infamous for producing and distributing death stick narcotics. This drug kingpin, who was the head of a trafficking ring that ultimately answered to Komari Vosa, the leader of the Bando Gora cult, even exerted influence over Ainlee Teem, the Gran senator representing Malastare, in addition to other political figures across the galaxy, such as Connus Trell on Coruscant. This level of power allowed Sebolto to claim the title of King of the Dugs.
Consequently, Sebolto's influence extended far beyond his homeworld. While the Dug oversaw smuggling operations within the Gazzari Minor system, he suffered a significant financial loss in credits when Bendix Fust exposed the trafficking operation to the Republic Security Force, leading to its shutdown. Upon discovering Fust's involvement, the enraged Dug placed a substantial bounty of 50,000 credits on Fust's head, explicitly demanding that he be delivered alive so that Sebolto could personally execute him. Zam Wesell eventually claimed the bounty.
However, Zam's motivations extended beyond mere financial gain, as she was collaborating with fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett. While pursuing Komari Vosa, Fett uncovered Sebolto's connections to the Hutts and Vosa's dreaded Force-worshiping cult. The bounty hunter then captured Fust to infiltrate Sebolto's Palace. While Zam distracted Sebolto, Jango battled his way through Sebolto's guards and ultimately stormed into the throne room.
Faced with one of the galaxy's most dangerous bounty hunters, the Dug's courage faltered, and Sebolto attempted to escape. In his haste, Sebolto slid down a ramp leading to an escape route through his death stick manufacturing plant. However, Sebolto mistimed his jump and collided with the wall before falling to his demise in a vat of boiling death stick chemicals, which Jango quipped would be a "sour batch."

Sebolto was known for his merciless nature, desiring that his victims experience a protracted and agonizing death. The bounties he issued demonstrated his desire to personally execute Bendix Fust after capturing him alive, and he also had the Mordageen tortured before their execution. Sebolto was confident in his combat prowess, boasting that he would, "kill him [Fett] myself." However, once he found himself as the last obstacle standing between Fett and his goal, Sebolto's demeanor shifted, and he attempted to flee into the depths of his death stick processing facility, which ultimately led to his own demise.
