Bendix Fust

Bendix Fust, a Mordageen male, served as a smuggler for the Dug King Sebolto during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. His illicit activities involved the trafficking of death sticks, euphoria-inducing narcotics, until his apprehension by the Republic Security Force within the Gazzari system. To lessen his impending sentence in prison, Fust bartered information concerning Sebolto's drug cartel. Learning of this betrayal, Sebolto issued a bounty for Fust's capture; the bounty hunters Zam Wesell and Jango Fett collected by extracting the Mordageen from the high-security Desolation Alley prison and delivering him to the Dug.

Biography

Originating from the planet Mordagon, Bendix Fust was a Mordageen of the male persuasion. The Dug crime lord known as Sebolto employed him as a smuggler, specifically to transport the illegal substance referred to as death sticks. While operating in the Gazzari system, Fust's activities were curtailed by the Republic Security Force during a planned operation targeting Sebolto's drug cartel. To avoid a lengthy period of incarceration, the Mordageen negotiated with the agency, divulging all he knew about Sebolto's criminal enterprise in exchange for a lighter term. Subsequently, he was confined within the maximum security prison located on the asteroid Oovo IV, a facility known as Desolation Alley, where he was designated as prisoner 004563-013.

Upon Sebolto's discovery of Fust's betrayal, he offered a bounty of 50,000 credits for Fust's live capture. In 32 BBY, this offer was independently pursued by two bounty hunters, Zam Wesell and Jango Fett, the latter having been informed of the bounty by the Toydarian Rozatta. Wesell, a shapeshifting Clawdite, gained access to the prison by concealing herself on a supply vessel. Reaching Fust's cell ahead of Fett, she deployed a gas grenade to incapacitate him when he refused to cooperate, and initiated a riot to mask her escape.

Shortly after Wesell's departure, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett arrived at Fust's cell, having navigated the prison's ventilation system. Fett pursued the escaping pair, eventually intercepting them as they reached his starship, which Wesell intended to commandeer. Confronted by numerous prison guards, the two professionals chose to collaborate to escape the prison, agreeing to split the bounty reward. Although Fett's ship was destroyed before they could use it to escape, the pair successfully commandeered a Firespray-class patrol ship and departed from Oovo. The bounty hunters then transported Fust to Malastare, Sebolto's home planet, where Fett permitted Wesell to deliver Fust to Sebolto at his palace, using the opportunity to infiltrate the Palace for his own purposes.

Personality and traits

Fust's smuggling activities centered on death sticks, an illicit substance derived from treated Ixetal cilona extract, providing euphoria at the cost of a reduced lifespan. Consequently, his capture by Republic forces meant a significant term of imprisonment. Faced with this prospect, Fust demonstrated a willingness to betray his employer to secure a lighter sentence.

Following his betrayal, Fust exhibited considerable fear regarding Sebolto's potential retribution. This fear led him to prefer imprisonment over being returned to the Dug when Zam Wesell infiltrated his cell. Fust was characterized by white hair and pink skin.

Equipment

During his incarceration, Fust was attired in a red prison uniform accompanied by black shoes.
