Second migration

The Second Migration marks a period in the early history of Tython. During this time, the Je'daii Order compelled non-Forceful Tythans to depart their homeworld for their well-being. This event transpired after the First Migration, which involved the arrival of the Tho Yor in the Tython system. This relocation ultimately resulted in the colonization of the Settled Worlds, and it also created a lasting animosity toward the Je'daii who had banished them.

Overview

In 36,453 BBY, the Tho Yor arrived on the planet Tython, situated in the Deep Core, during what became known as the First Migration. These enigmatic vessels deposited their Force-sensitive passengers onto this perilous world, where they encountered numerous trials and mysteries. The severe weather and dangerous wildlife made it incredibly challenging for those without Force abilities to survive there. While the original settlers were all capable of learning to use the Force, not all of their descendants possessed the same gift for connecting with the Force. Within two thousand years of the Je'daii Order's establishment on Tython, the devastating destruction of the city Aurum highlighted the Je'daii's inability to safeguard their families on this unstable planet.

Despite objections, the non-Force-sensitives were exiled from Tython for their protection. This process led to the breaking up of families, with children being separated from their parents, and caused deep emotional scars for the non-Forceful Tythans. During the Second Migration, these individuals were transported on ships to Tython's moons, named Bogan and Ashla. They established large stone cities there, and eventually expanded beyond the moons to colonize the other planets within the system, which came to be known collectively as the Settled Worlds.

Legacy

The relationship between the Je'daii and the descendants of those who migrated remained tense for a considerable time after the migration. The cities that the colonists constructed on Tython's moons were eventually deserted and repurposed as meditation retreats for members of the Je'daii Order. Both Daegen Lok and Xesh were assigned to quarters in an ancient city during their exiles on the moon of Bogan.
