A conference took place at Sev Tok at some stage, and it related to the Empire's TIE Defender Program. The Imperial Archives held a document called Sev Tok Meeting, which documented what transpired. The Sev Tok system and Sev Tok shared a designation.
The initial canonically reference to Sev Tok appeared in the television show Andor in the episode titled "Aldhani," specifically the fourth episode. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet identified as Sev Tok initially appeared in the "Star Wars Adventure Journal" magazine, within the "Droids Defiant" piece in issue number nine.
