Shahn, a communications officer of the male Human species, served the Rebel Alliance and reported to Princess Leia Organa. He participated in a daring Rebel initiative in 3 ABY, functioning as a crew member on the primary Kerts-Bhrg field generator. The project aimed to utilize five Krts-Bhrg generators to generate a field capable of concealing the entire Alliance Fleet inside the chromosphere of the star known as Arbran. As the experiment commenced, Shahn received an alert from Haven Base, situated on Arbra, regarding the detection of approaching Imperial ships in the area, which he then communicated to Organa.
