Shaleena was a young Human female residing on Taris. A member of the Outcasts, she made her home in the Outcast village located within the Undercity.
Having spent her entire life in the Undercity, Shaleena had never experienced the sight of the open sky. As a young girl, she found herself captivated by the stories surrounding Rukil, but as time passed, her faith in his vision of the Promised Land began to wane. Nevertheless, she maintained respect for both him and Gendar. Among her fellow villagers, she strived to uphold a reasonable level of conduct, expressing disapproval towards those who resorted to begging or theft. She displayed friendliness towards newcomers, particularly eager to hear stories about life in the Upper City.
In 3956 BBY, she joined the other Outcasts in their departure from the village, heading towards the Promised Land after its location was discovered.
Shaleena is featured as a non-player character in the role playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, released in 2003. The game's files contain a unique character model for Shaleena that was ultimately not used in the final version of the game.
In an alternative, non-canonical dark side scenario, Revan has the option to hand over the journals pertaining to the Promised Land to Igear, who promptly destroys them. This act of selfishness provokes Shaleena's anger, leading her to permanently cease communication with the player.
