Shaping protocol
The shaping protocols represented the set of rules and detailed plans utilized by the Yuuzhan Vong for the biological engineering of their technology, and they were archived inside the Qang qahsa. These protocols were organized into levels called cortexes, with the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth cortex being accessible for viewing by all members of the shaper caste. Access to the sixth and seventh cortex was restricted to Master Shapers alone. The eighth cortex, considered the pinnacle of divine knowledge bestowed upon the Yuuzhan Vong, was actually almost devoid of information. Breaking these protocols was considered an act of heresy, punishable by immediate execution.
