A significant conflict unfolded on the planet Toydaria, pitting Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker against Count Dooku's freshly appointed apprentice, Savage Opress. Simultaneously, Dooku, Opress, and the Nightsister Asajj Ventress engaged in a separate orbital battle. Later, Opress clashed with Kenobi and Skywalker. A brief fight also occurred between Ventress and Dooku.
Under his master's command, Opress journeyed to Toydaria with the objective of capturing King Katuunko alive. Unfortunately for the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the mission fell apart when Opress, consumed by rage, murdered Katuunko and presented his corpse to Dooku. This enraged the Dark Lord, who then punished Opress severely.
The struggle moved to Dooku's Separatist dreadnought above Toydaria. There, Ventress, Dooku's former apprentice, sought to avenge herself for his betrayal during the Battle of Sullust. She enlisted the help of Opress, whom she had under her control. However, Opress, tired of their constant insults, betrayed both Dooku and Ventress. While Ventress pursued Dooku, Opress fought Kenobi and Skywalker, who had arrived to eliminate him.
The confrontation concluded with Ventress and Opress both escaping their pursuers alive, and the Jedi fleeing the cruiser. Opress then returned to Dathomir, where Mother Talzin instructed him to locate his brother, Darth Maul. Dooku would eventually order an attack on Dathomir.
