Skirmish on Roon

[[Category:Battles in c. 117 ABY|*Skirmish on Roon]]

The skirmish that took place on Roon transpired when Rav and Zareb Syn journeyed to the world with the pretense of "trading" for flame gems alongside roonstones. Little did the pirates realize, Zareb's offspring, Jariah Syn, had secretly boarded their vessel.

Rav's true motive was to murder the miners and pilfer their valuable gems. Prior to Jedi Master Rasi Tuum's intervention to protect the remaining individuals, Zareb fatally shot a married couple. Tuum managed to sever Rav's leg utilizing his lightsaber; however, immediately afterward, Zareb inflicted a wound upon his left shoulder with a vibroblade. As Rav withdrew, accompanied by Jariah, Zareb and Tuum engaged in combat. Swiftly, Zareb was defeated by Tuum's lightsaber, and Jariah sprinted toward his father. Before Tuum could advance on Jariah, Rav discharged his blaster, striking Tuum in the chest and causing him to fall from the ship's platform. At that moment, Rav informed the youthful Jariah that Jedi were the adversaries of pirates, accusing them of abducting children to their temples for what Rav termed "reasons most foul". An Arkanian girl, seized by Rav, experienced an unknown end.

During Jariah's encounter with Tuum at the Hidden Temple situated on Taivas, he remembered the day of the conflict, and Tuum endeavored to rectify his perception of the event. While Jariah had been led to believe that his father was engaged in trade, Tuum disclosed that their actions were, in reality, a "raid". Tuum implored Jariah to carefully contemplate his father's true nature. Tuum questioned whether the abducted girl was safe, but Jariah shattered those hopes.
