Within the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army, Skosef was a male general of the Human species. In the year 1 BBY, Skosef became involved in a plot masterminded by Grand Moff Trachta. The aim of this plot was to depose the two Sith Lords who held power over the Empire: Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Skosef's role in the conspiracy was to oversee the bombing of Palpatine's Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, which was scheduled to travel to the Empire's DS-1 Orbital Battle Station superweapon. Even though Palpatine survived the destruction of his shuttle, the resulting explosion killed a significant portion of the Emperor's Royal Guard along with numerous Imperial stormtroopers, a circumstance that was crucial to Trachta's scheme.
After the Imperials began to suspect Skosef's involvement in the bombing, Trachta tasked Skosef with the assassination of Moff Bartam, another participant in their conspiracy, as distrust grew among the plotters. Skosef successfully carried out Bartam's assassination but was subsequently killed by a stormtrooper immediately after the act.
During the early stages of the Galactic Civil War, Skosef, a Human male, held the rank of general within the Imperial Army of the Galactic Empire. Nearing the end of 1 BBY, Skosef joined a plot aimed at killing the Sith Lord rulers of the Empire, specifically Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. In that year, he accompanied Moff Kadir of the Coruscant Security Force to a clandestine meeting held among the conspirators near Grand Moff Bartam's opulent luxury apartment situated on the galactic capital world of Coruscant. Under the leadership of Imperial Grand Moff Trachta, the conspirators, including Grand Moff Bartam, Second Officer Dezsetes from the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Mathayus, the assassin Gauer, as well as Skosef and Kadir, convened to discuss Trachta's strategy for eliminating the Sith Lords.
The conspirators devised a scheme to create a demand for more troopers to safeguard the Emperor's Imperial Palace on Coruscant. This would be achieved by staging a fake assassination attempt on Palpatine, intended to kill a large number of his palace security forces. The planned attempt involved the bombing of Palpatine's Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, but it was not actually designed to kill the Emperor, as the conspirators were confident he would survive. The resulting casualties among Palpatine's security detail would then allow stormtroopers loyal to the conspirators to take their positions, placing them strategically to assassinate the Emperor. Separately, a squad of stormtroopers under Dezsetes's command would eliminate Vader in the Kether system, specifically on the planet Dargulli. During the meeting, Skosef was given the responsibility of overseeing the bombing of the shuttle.

Before the shuttle's scheduled departure for the Empire's DS-1 Orbital Battle Station [superweapon](/article/superweapon-legends], Skosef's stormtroopers planted a bomb inside the craft, cleverly disguised as a collection of bottles to bypass the scrutiny of the Emperor's Royal Guards. The bomb exploded prematurely, completely destroying the starship and killing the desired number of stormtroopers and Royal Guards. Skosef himself witnessed the explosion from a nearby location. As the conspirators had anticipated, Palpatine indeed survived the blast due to his ability to sense the impending danger. After Palpatine was provided with stormtroopers loyal to the conspirators to replace those lost in the bombing, Trachta informed Skosef that the bombing was traced back to him, and assigned him a new role in the plan.
As the conspirators engaged in power struggles while their plan to overthrow the Sith and ultimately rule the Empire approached fruition, Skosef aligned himself with Trachta and attempted to assassinate Grand Moff Bartam. Entering Bartam's luxury apartment undetected, Skosef fatally shot the Grand Moff in the back at close range with a blaster pistol. However, a stormtrooper present in the room witnessed the killing and opened fire on Skosef, resulting in the General's death. Ultimately, Gauer was the sole survivor of the conspiracy, as all the others were killed in the power struggles or died in their attempt to rid the Empire of the Sith, an endeavor that ultimately failed.
Skosef, as a member of the conspiracy, firmly believed that he and his fellow conspirators were capable of seizing control of the Empire from Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Initially, he expressed reservations about the practicality of using their limited number of stormtroopers to eliminate the Sith and initially questioned the bombing of Palpatine's shuttle, as it would result in the loss of some of their own troops. However, Trachta allayed his concerns by providing a more detailed explanation of the plan. Upon witnessing the bombing, Skosef was impressed, and when ordered to kill Bartam as the conspirators turned against each other, he complied. The General had pale skin and gray hair.
During his service as an Imperial, Skosef wore a standard Imperial officer's uniform. He also possessed a blaster pistol.
Skosef made his debut appearance in the first issue of the Star Wars: Empire comic-book series, authored by Scott Allie, illustrated by Ryan Benjamin, and published by Dark Horse Comics on September 4, 2002.
