Snopell was a Galactic Empire officer who was a male Human during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Following the Battle of Yavin at some point, Snopell, holding the rank of Warrant Officer, found himself stationed at an Imperial space station located in the Outer Rim Territories. He served alongside fellow officers including Lieutenant Alin, Captain Clough, Lieutenant Farin, Captain Bailie, Colonel Sheray, and Major Taison. In the year 1 ABY, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer apprehended a passenger freighter, suspecting it of harboring criminals. Several spacers were detained and subsequently brought to the Imperial space station. After the spacers' release, Snopell oversaw their processing through the station until their departure.
Snopell appeared as a non-player character in Star Wars Galaxies, the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003 that was a video game. The game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, but it was shut down on December 15, 2011.
The character Warrant Officer Snopell was integrated into the game as part of a revamp to the "New Player Tutorial," which was launched with "Publish 17" on May 26, 2005. Snopell, along with other Imperial officers, guided new players through a space station during the tutorial, assisting them in becoming familiar with the game's mechanics. However, Snopell's role was discontinued when the developers implemented the "New Game Enhancements" update on November 15, 2005. This update introduced a completely new tutorial in the form of Tansarii Point Station. A different Imperial officer, Sergeant Snopel, who shared a similar name, was present in the Tansarii Point tutorial.
