The game of soccer centered around propelling a ball, usually with the foot, with the objective of scoring by getting it into a net. A player would typically try to prevent the ball from going into this net, although employing the Force for this purpose was forbidden. Jempa, a Whiphid Padawan, had a habit of using his lightsaber to block the ball, which resulted in him having to constantly purchase replacement balls due to their destruction. On a separate occasion, a game of soccer involved Jempa (a human Padawan), a Nautolan Padawan, and a Togruta Padawan. In the midst of the game, Jempa utilized the Force to intercept a ball that the Nautolan had kicked, which caused the Togruta to disagree with the action. Jempa offered an apology, explaining that it was an involuntary reaction. The Togruta then voiced their gratitude that Jempa hadn't used his lightsaber, and the Nautolan remarked that Jempa was probably tired of having to buy new balls.
The sport of soccer was featured in the Canon timeline in "Jedi Soccer," a short, non-canonical comic found within LEGO Star Wars: Galactic Freedom Fighters.
