Sol'aa was a Twi'lek character with orange skin and blue-eyed, who resided on the Outer Rim planet of Dantooine, a pastoral world, during the time of the Jedi Civil War circa 3956 BBY. They made their home in a chamber situated at the northern end of the Dantooine Jedi Enclave, and occasionally engaged in the gambling card game known as pazaak. Sol'aa's attire consisted of a white tunic, a blue undershirt, beige trousers, gray gloves, brown boots, and a red belt. They had a grasp of Basic, but communicated using Huttese.
During their time at the Enclave, Sol'aa encountered Revan, the former Sith Lord who was undergoing training to become a Jedi after suffering memory loss. Recognizing Revan's skill in pazaak, Sol'aa proposed a game. When Revan inquired about Sol'aa's background, they responded evasively, desiring to keep their personal information private. Despite their aloofness, Sol'aa was still willing to play pazaak with Revan and even offered to sell some of their cards. After Revan's five victories against Sol'aa in pazaak, the Twi'lek, having exhausted their supply of credits, began to wager additional cards.
Sol'aa is featured as a non-player character in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a video game released in 2003 and developed by BioWare. Should the player attempt to engage in pazaak without possessing a deck, Sol'aa will furnish them with one. The interaction with Sol'aa is optional; it neither advances the game's storyline nor alters the player's alignment. If the player manages to defeat Sol'aa in five consecutive pazaak matches, Sol'aa will begin to wager cards instead of credits. Conversely, if the player loses to Sol'aa, the Twi'lek will inquire whether they wish to play again. Encounters with Sol'aa are no longer possible once the player has located four of the five Rakatan Star Maps and boards the Leviathan, the flagship of Sith Admiral Saul Karath. While the player is aboard the Leviathan, the attack on Dantooine commences, preventing the player from returning to the planet.
In the Xbox version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Sol'aa is depicted with green skin and gray eyes. Sol'aa is dressed in a brown tunic accented with white, paired with orange pants and white boots.
