Soothfast, captained by Skent Graff, was a light cruiser of the Proficient-class that had been upgraded. It belonged to the New Republic Defense Fleet and fought in the Yuuzhan Vong War.
In 25 ABY, specifically six months into the year, Soothfast was on patrol near Durren within the Meridian sector when two biotic vessels warped into the system. Soothfast, along with its squadron of starfighters, engaged the yorik coral spawn ship that was advancing towards them. Despite some losses to Gauntlet Squadron, Soothfast successfully eliminated the Yuuzhan Vong warship and caused the other to retreat, although the triumph was just a ruse to get Elan and Vergere into the custody of the New Republic.
