Sophia Farash was a Human female who served as an Ambassador for the Republic on the planet Voss during the period known as the Cold War, and was one of the Children of the Emperor.
As a Force-sensitive Human female, Sophia Farash was brought before the Sith Emperor when she was a child. He used his dark essence to impregnate her, transforming Farash into one of his Children of the Emperor.
During the conflict between the Republic and the Sith Empire, Sophia held the position of Ambassador for the Republic on Voss, forming a close friendship with Gaden-Ko, a Mystic in training. When the young Jedi Consular, known as the Barsen'thor, arrived on Voss seeking an alliance against the Empire, Sophia aided them by suggesting they assist her friend Gaden-Ko with his training to gain the trust of the Voss. However, upon Gaden-Ko's return with the Barsen'thor to forge an alliance with the Republic, Sophia revealed her allegiance as a child of the Sith Emperor, appearing alongside two Sith Acolytes.
Gaden-Ko was confused by her betrayal of him and the [Jedi](/article/jedi-legends], but Sophia reassured him, stating that his true destiny was only beginning. She and the acolytes then battled the Barsen'thor, but the Jedi gained the advantage and defeated them. Wounded, Sophia expressed surprise at the Jedi's strength in the light side, as she had believed in her youth that the dark side held true power. Sophia confessed to the Barsen'thor that she had hoped the pilgrimage would test Gaden-Ko's abilities and lead to the Barsen'thor's demise. Fearing punishment from the First Son for her failure, the Barsen'thor attempted to persuade her to abandon the dark side, believing they could save her from his wrath.
Sophia then proceeded to tell the Jedi about how the First Son served the Emperor. At that point, Gaden-Ko voiced his disappointment at being betrayed by his friend. Sophia apologized for her actions, explaining that she had intended to save him and enable the people of Voss to serve the Emperor and Sith Empire. She was subsequently taken into custody by Voss officers, who declared that she would undergo the Step of Harmony, a Voss punishment involving a criminal being cast from the summit of Voss-Ka. Despite the Barsen'thor's objections to the barbaric nature of the sentence, Sophia was led away.
However, before the execution of her sentence, Sophia managed to overpower the Voss commandos who were escorting her and successfully escaped. Later, during the final confrontation with Tenebrae, Sophia's spirit was among those witnessing his ultimate death.
In the flashpoint known as "The Nathema Conspiracy," if the Outlander is a Jedi Consular who has remained aligned with the light side, Sophia Farash seeks vengeance against them. She achieves this by joining the Order of Zildrog, which is led by Vinn Atrius. Ultimately, she is sacrificed as fuel to awaken Zildrog by GEMINI 16 on the planet Nathema. Conversely, if the Jedi Consular has succumbed to the dark side of the Force, they will instead encounter Gaden-Ko. Other classes will face antagonists that are specific to their own class storylines.
