Squad Dek-Nil was a component squad within the Accresker Penal Legion. This legion was the disposable combat unit associated with the Galactic Empire's Accresker Jail. The leader of this particular squad was Dek-Nil, a droideka that had undergone reprogramming by the Doctor Chelli Aphra. Subsequent to its dispatch to the prison, it had functioned as a hubdroid. In the course of an attack directed at an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, Dek-Nil orchestrated the deaths of every prisoner belonging to his squad. His motivation was to protect Aphra's proximity bomb for his own use, and Lopset Yas was also saved as a result.
