During the time of the Cold War that saw the Republic in conflict with the reconstituted Sith Empire, Officer Stansun found himself stationed in the Black Sun territory. Despite his generally optimistic nature, Stansun felt frustration due to the apparent lack of progress in the fight against the Black Sun criminal organization. Before successfully gaining the assistance of a Republic operative, he had made multiple unsuccessful attempts to shut down an illicit surgery clinic.
During the Cold War period, specifically around 3643 BBY, between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, Stansun, a male Human, resided on the planet of Coruscant. At this time, he was a police officer in the Coruscant Security Force, operating under the authority of the Republic. He was assigned to the Black Sun territory, where his objective was to close down an illegal surgical clinic operated by the Black Sun criminal syndicate. This clinic's purpose was to alter the appearances of known criminals, making them harder for the CSF to identify. However, each time the CSF tried to raid the clinic, Black Sun relocated before they arrived. Eventually, Officer Stansun managed to obtain the help of a Republic agent to successfully shut down the clinic.
This individual was able to infiltrate the clinic and defeat both Black Sun thugs and several droids. To ensure that Black Sun could not resume operations, the individual destroyed the clinic's surgical droids. Furthermore, they downloaded a list of criminals who had undergone surgery at the clinic from the clinic's droids. This list was then provided to Stansun, enabling the CSF to identify the criminals by their new faces and track them down.
Stansun was a Human male with light complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair and beard. Stansun possessed a consistently positive outlook, but he was also grounded in reality regarding the struggle between the police force and Black Sun. Despite the CSF's apparent disadvantage, Stansun remained committed to the fight. He firmly believed that Coruscant could achieve peace once Black Sun was eliminated.
Stansun's attire consisted of a gray and brown uniform featuring yellow designs. He also wore brown boots, brown gloves, and a brown belt from which he carried a blaster pistol.
Stansun is a character featured in the "The Face Merchants" quest within Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by BioWare and launched in 2011. A Republic character can begin the mission by encountering Stansun in the Black Sun Territory, which then leads to the clinic. The quest offers no light side or dark side choices but can be declined. Dude Walker provided the voice for Stansun, and he also voiced Ardun Kothe in the Imperial Agent storyline.
