Plot summary

Padmé Amidala arrives on Coruscant, only to have her ship and decoy targeted by a bombing. Consequently, the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan are assigned to ensure her safety. Subsequently, Jango Fett dispatches kouhuns after her through Zam Wesell. Obi-Wan Kenobi then leaps onto ASN-121, but Wesell shoots the droid down. Kenobi then lands on a borrowed airspeeder and gives chase to the bounty hunter. Their pursuit leads them to the Outlander Club, where a Balosar attempts to sell him death sticks. Wesell is eventually apprehended by Kenobi and Skywalker. Before she can reveal the identity of the bounty hunter, Fett terminates her, with her dying words being bounty hunter slimeball in Huttese.

Later, Kenobi undertakes an effort to find Fett, while Skywalker escorts Amidala back to Naboo. Kenobi's investigation leads him to Kamino, where he uncovers a clone army for the Galactic Republic, supposedly commissioned by Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. He then visits Fett's residence, where he encounters Boba Fett, his clone "son."

Skywalker and Amidala developed romantic feelings, which she initially denied. They then located Watto, who provided directions to the Lars homestead. Following this, Skywalker journeyed to the Tusken village where his mother was held and killed every single one of them. Subsequently, he confessed his actions to Amidala. They then proceeded to Geonosis to save Kenobi (who had tracked Fett and been captured), an event which ignited a large-scale conflict, during which Grand Master Yoda nearly defeated Count Dooku (also known as Darth Tyranus), who then escaped.

Ultimately, Count Dooku returned to his Master Darth Sidious to inform him that "The war has begun." Subsequently, Yoda, Mace Windu, and Kenobi are in conversation, and Yoda declares, "The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun this Clone War has." Later, Bail Prestor Organa, Onaconda Farr, Mas Amedda, and Palpatine are observing as Republic clone troopers embark onto ships. On Naboo, Skywalker and Amidala share a kiss during a sacred ceremony.
