Star Wars: Force and Destiny

Star Wars: Force and Destiny, alternatively known as Force & Destiny, constitutes the third roleplaying game within the Star Wars Roleplaying series. This series encompasses interconnected roleplaying games brought to you by Fantasy Flight Games under their licensed agreement for Star Wars game creation. As a component of a broader system, it integrates with both Edge of the Empire and Age of Rebellion, with its primary emphasis on Jedi and other individuals who wield the Force. During the Gen Con Game Fair in August of 2012, it was revealed that Sterling Hershey held a position as one of the game's designers. At that time, Hershey shared on his blog Fantasy Flight's intentions for the franchise, specifically announcing the 2015 release of Force and Destiny which would follow the 2014 debut of Age of Rebellion. A beta test version of Force and Destiny made its debut at Gen Con in August of 2014. The official release occurred in June of 2015.

The roleplaying game is situated in the period soon after the Battle of Yavin. The game's supplements do not strictly adhere to the established canon or the Legends continuity; instead, they incorporate aspects from both.

Campaign

Fantasy Flight Games suggests, though it is not mandatory, that Gamemasters connect Lessons from the Past from the Core Rulebook with Hidden Depths found within the Game Master's Kit. This connection is suggested to facilitate players' acquisition of functional lightsabers during the timeline of the Galactic Civil War.
