Star Wars Kids (1997) 1




The initial issue of the magazine series Star Wars Kids, titled Star Wars Kids 1, was brought to the public by Scholastic in September of 1997. This inaugural issue featured the first installment of the serialized comic, The Rebel Thief, penned by Ryder Windham.

Star Wars Kids 1 was exclusively offered to those who subscribed to Scholastic's Star Wars Missions series for young readers and roleplaying game. These arrived as monthly packages sent directly to subscribers. Each package contained a fresh issue of Star Wars Kids magazine along with the newest Star Wars Missions adventure book. Star Wars Kids 1 was bundled with the Star Wars Missions starter kit, which also contained the game's introductory adventure book, Assault on Yavin Four.
