Return of the Jedi 2: Star Wars Manga represents the second installment of the Return of the Jedi manga collection. Shin-Ichi Hiromoto provided the illustrations for this volume, drawing inspiration from George Lucas's original narrative. The screenplay, penned by George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan, served as the basis for its adaptation. Adam Warren is credited with the creation of the cover artwork.
Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca face Jabba the Hutt's attempt to cast them into the Great Pit of Carkoon. Nevertheless, Luke and his companions manage to evade Jabba's forces, leading to Leia Organa strangling Jabba, resulting in his demise. Following their escape from the Hutt, Luke seeks out Yoda, who subsequently dies in Luke's presence.
